his mid-century modern iron vessel imported from Japan is a unique and detailed piece. It is stamped with Chinese characters (the 2 last words being metal work) and the word "Japan" on the underside. The square "chrysanthemum" lid lifts out to reveal the compartment below. This unique piece of metalwork could be used as a display dish, incense burner, ashtray or for flower arrangement.
